How to get here

from Pisa Airport (c. 2.5 hours)

from the airport follow directions for ‘Autostrada Rosignano/Roma’
• continue on the Autostrada to where it ends at Rosignano and then join the ‘Aurelia’ dual carriageway for Grosseto / Roma
• exit at Grosseto Est
• at the exit there’s a roundabout, on this roundabout turn left for Saturnia (watch out – it’s easy to miss !)
• continue on this road for c. 8km, after the bridge over the Ombrone river and a few bends there’s a straight stretch, on the left there’s the bar/petrol station ‘Chissa’, about 300m further on turn left for Roccalbegna
• from here on follow the signs for Roccalbegna
• once at Roccalbegna continue until Triana, then turn right for Petricci/Saturnia
• continue for c. 1.5km, in the wood on the right there’s a large concrete building take the unmade road that starts here (there are a couple of signposts to various ‘Agriturismi’ along my road – there’s a small one for Podere Sant’Angelo too) and continue for c. 3km – Podere Sant’Angelo is the third house on the right – just below the road (300m. after a sign to ‘Da Carlo’ on the left).
• if you continue on the normal road until the turning on the left for Cellena – you’ve gone too far – turn round and go back, the concrete building’s now on your left at about 400m

from Rome Airport - Fiumicino (c. 2.5 hours)

• head out of the city towards the autostrada for Civitavecchia. Once on the autostrada keep on to where it ends and then continue north on the 'Aurelia' in the direction of Grosseto.

• go past Tarquinia, then just after Montalto di Castro you'll see a road indicated on the right to Manciano. Follow the signs for Manciano.

• at Manciano follow the signs for Saturnia. Don't go up to the village of Saturnia but swing round to the right and follow signs for Semproniano.

• at Semproniano turn right and follow signs for Arcidosso/Monte Amiata. You pass through a small village called Petricci. About 3km after Petricci you see a turning on the right for Cellena, DON'T turn right, keep going straight ahead but watch out for an opening on the LEFT about 500 m further on

take the unmade road that starts here (there are a couple of signposts to various ‘Agriturismi’ along my road – there’s a small one for Podere Sant’Angelo too) and continue for c. 3km – Podere Sant’Angelo is the third house on the right – just below the road (300m. after a sign to ‘Da Carlo’ on the left).

from Florence (c. 2.5 hours)

• take the superstrada from Florence to Siena - it starts to the south of the city

• when you get to Siena keep on the same road, you'll see signs for Grosseto, follow these signs

• the road now goes through some spectular scenery - continue on this road until Paganico - here head for Monte Amiata/Arcidosso/Castel del Piano

• continue for Arcidosso

• at Arcidosso still on the road from Paganico there's a roundabout turn right and head for Saturnia/Roccalbegna

• keep on the road for Saturnia/Roccalbegna

• after about 10 km you drop down via a few hairpin bends to the hamlet of Triana, before you enter the hamlet take the road on the left, still to Saturnia, continue for 3km, on the right you'll see a couple of signs indicating 'agriturismi'- including Podere Sant Angelo

take the unmade road that starts here and continue for c. 3km – Podere Sant’Angelo is the third house on the right – just below the road (300m. after a sign to ‘Da Carlo’ on the left).
